Hi guys,

I posted here almost a year back about a horror zine I was putting together. Unfortunately life got in the way and it never got made. Well, it's getting made now.

It's called 'It's Alive!' and it will probably be a one-off zine, hopefully out by February.

It's very much in the early stages at the moment, but if anybody would like to contribute that would be great.

As I'm only just getting started on it, I can't give an exact description of what I'm looking for, but I'm hoping it will turn out to be a fun and witty zine for horror fans, full of film reviews (classics, b-movies and modern), interviews and a few other horror related features such as reviews of ghost walks, the scariest places to visit in the UK, scary stories etc. Here's one of my film reviews that will be going in, to give you an idea of what to expect.

If you've got anything you think might fit in, please drop me an email to siobhanlouise@gmail.com and I'll get straight back to you.

Additionally, if you think It's Alive! sounds interesting and you want to order a copy or find out more about it, send me an email to siobhanlouise@gmail.com, or sign up to my blog for updates.

Thanks guys!

(x-posted, sorry!)

Hey everyone,

Issue #10 of DrunkenWerewolf Magazine is out now. You can get a copy sent to any British address for £2 or £3 internationally; go here for more details.

DrunkenWerewolf focuses on folk and alternative music but it also covers the music industry in general alongside other art culture that tickles our fancy. This time around we've interviewed OLO Worms, King Charles, Buffalo Clover, House of Strange and Filthy Little Angels, and we've had articles written by Jeremy Warmsley, Laura Simmons of Das Wanderlust and Lupen Crook. We've also taken a look at the most inspiring albums of the 2000's and reviewed releases and gigs of the last two months...all together it makes for a bumper edition with more than 50 pages of content!

If you're interested in swapping for any music/film/feminist related zine I'm game. Comment me here or email me at drunkenwerewolf@hotmail.co.uk.

Tiff xx

Howdy folks,

Christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. But you've probably forgotten all about it as the Brighton Zine Fest is almost here! Well, almost.

Festive card-writing getting you down? We're just in the process of designing fliers so if any artists out there would like to make a flier/poster design for us then get in touch. All the info is on the website:

http://brightonzinefest.co.uk/

Or if you'd like to get involved or would just like a bit more info on any of the events, then just leave me a comment here, or check out our page on we make zines: http://wemakezines.ning.com/group/brightonzinesters/forum

Happy scribblin :)

Hello folks. Just letting you know I've just updated my free zine distro http://zinemonger.blogspot.com . There's new zines added including functionally ill and sexuality as hidden. I've also made the instructions for ordering much simpler and clearer. Please take a look and help yourself to some free zines!
